The Viper design is unique among paddle holsters. Look at the other paddle holsters out there and they are all designed around the same concept. A V shape is used to apply pressure to a retention rib on an oversized paddle but this V shape throws the butt and slide out away from the body. Bang. clunk, print, ding and major pain in the hip courtesy of a butterfly shaped appendage stuck in your pants. Others call this a paddle. I have always loved the concept of an easy off, easy on holster especially when carrying in an official capacity that requires you to take it off and put it on all day.

All you agents and detectives out there know this drill well. Look at the picture again. Notice that the paddle is offset towards the front of the holster. This is to facilitate the easiest on/off action there is in a paddle. It is designed specifically to twist on and off the beltline. Nothing extends below the bottom edge of the belt unlike all the other paddles that kill your hip. The twist-lok-paddle is the real deal and we have law enforcement professionals running this rig patrolling the New York Harbor and for this type of duty we can make it in .125 Kydex to take the additional abuse. Simply inset the leading edge of the paddle at the beltline and twist the retention ridge counter-clockwise into the waistline. The retention ridge locks below the belt and the ultra-smooth and contoured paddle rides comfortably against your hip. No butterfly shaped appendage to dig in, overheat and aggravate you. To remove, simply twist in the same direction. Quick, comfortable, tight to the body, easy, great retention, rapid extraction. Works equally well for full size, compacts or sub-compacts. The Twist Lok is an exceptional execution of the paddle concept
